From the tummy: Week 40
Finally the week we were all waiting for arrived. Earlier in the week, Dr Huynh decided that it is going to be a C-section as there was no movement for me. On 28th, daddy got a call from the hospital confirming that Tuesday morning is confirmed for mommy's cesarean operation. Daddy took rest of the week off to be with mommy and all was set for the big day.

From the tummy: Week 39
This week my car seat was fitted. Mommy and daddy went back to Wollongong again to change the faulty pram and swing. Luckily they got a better pram than the one they originally chose. So they switched the pram. The swing was replaced too.
The OB visit showed that I am still not engaged. So it meant C-section is quite a possibility. We will know more next week. Meanwhile, mommy could feel her tummy getting tighter and are often giving her sudden pain.

Mommy's baby shower

April 5th mommy's friends came over to our house for my pre-arrival celebration. It was lots of games, balloons, food and beautiful gifts from my loving friends and families. Thank you so much for spending time with mommy - it means so much to her.
Its getting close to the big day - my nursery is ready, daddy is fitting in my baby capsule in the car, and mommy is looking into all corners of the room for a spring clean. They sure are busy looking to keep themselves busy till I arrive. And of course, I have been busily turning and kicking inside mommy's tummy too. Can't wait till I can come out with a big scream!! See you all soon.

From the tummy: Week 38
Weekly OB check continued this week. And my room was taking shape too. All items were neatly placed where it should be. Electronic appliances were ready and tested and new battery fitted. Mommy was using her leave to rest, wash my clothes and watch movies.

From the tummy: Week 37
Early in the week mommy had another OB check. All was good. Then, all the furniture and gifts got delivered. Later at night, daddy started fixing the furniture starting with the cot. Took him two days to put the cot, bookshelf, change table and chest-drawers together. Couple of days later it was mommy's baby shower. It was a fun day at our home with friends gathering, games and lots of gifts. There was catered Filipino food on menu. Mommy commenced her maternity leave by end of the week.

From the tummy: Week 36
First part of the week was very eventful. Mommy had an ultrasound as the doctor wanted to find out how big I was. The result showed a very average weight and height (in fact, right in the middle). That afternoon, mommy also went to the doctor for a check-up with my scan result faxed in. But daddy had a copy of the result too and a 4D picture of me proving (for sure) that I was a "girl"! Later that night, they both attended the last ante-natal class. Mommy got a certificate for her regular attendance!
